NYC Subway NowMap is a new way to visualize New York City Subway service. In real-time mode, it shows the service that is available right now. In scheduled mode, it shows scheduled service for any day and time combination you choose.
NYC Subway NowMap is a graphics-intensive mobile website. We recommend iOS and Android devices released in 2014 or later.
How to use
The map viewer has two tabs. The left tab shows real-time mode. The right tab shows scheduled mode.
In real-time mode, the map redraws itself to accommodate service changes and planned work for those lines where information is provided by the MTA. This includes the
, 42nd Street
, and the Staten Island Railway. The lines drawn with real-time information are highlighted in yellow. The remainder of the lines are drawn according to the official MTA schedule.
In scheduled mode, the map shows service according to the MTA schedule. It defaults to the current time, but you can select and day and time combination.
Single-tap on a point or pinch to zoom in. Move the map by dragging your finger. Theandbuttons below also control the zoom level. You can reset the map to the top level by tapping thebutton.
To see service alerts for a specific line, hold your finger on the service mark at a stop.
Tap thebutton in the upper left corner to see all of the current service alerts.
